Overview
Tubidy respects the intellectual property rights of creators and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe a video on Tubidy infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to enforce, you may submit a takedown notice and we will review it.
How to file a takedown notice
Send a complete notice through the contact form with the subject line DMCA Takedown. A valid notice must include all of the following:
- The full URL of the allegedly infringing video on Tubidy.
- A clear description or reference to the copyrighted work that has been infringed.
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices cannot be processed. We may ask you for additional information before removing content.
Our response
- Complete notices are reviewed within two business days.
- If the notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the disputed content and notify the uploader.
- Repeat infringers have their accounts terminated in line with our Terms of Use.
Counter-notice
If your upload was removed and you believe the takedown was issued in error — for example, because you hold a licence, the use qualifies as fair use, or the claimant does not own the work — you may submit a counter-notice. A counter-notice must include:
- Identification of the material that was removed and its previous URL.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email.
- Consent to the jurisdiction of a federal court in your district (or equivalent where you reside).
- Your signature.
Once we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If they do not file suit within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed material.
False claims
Submitting a knowingly false DMCA notice or counter-notice is a crime and may expose you to significant liability. Do not file a notice unless you are certain of your rights.
